Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP political strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to talk about current events on the local, state and national levels.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the issue of local versus state laws and regulations, as well as some of the over 6,000 bills that were filed in the Texas state legislature prior to last week's deadline, including campus and open weapon carry. Also on the table were candidates in the 2016 presidential election.

Mackowiak talked about several of the possible 2016 Republican candidates and their chances in the race. About Jeb bush, Mackowiak said,

Jeb is the front runner, but I don't think he's a strong front runner right now.
