Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, Matt Mackowiak joined Chad to talk about former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani's comments that President Obama does not love America.

Says Mackowiak:

What he meant and what he said were different things. Giuliani, I think, was trying to express a feeling that I think that millions of Americans have, which is that the President doesn't seem to want to defend America, at least rhetorically, very often, he likes to often criticize our country and apologize for our country. And so you just don't get the sort of warm and fuzzy feeling from the President that he believes in American exceptionalism.

Since making the remarks, Giuliani has penned an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal defending his stance, but admitting "I didn't intend to question President Obama’s motives or the content of his heart" and that his bluntness "overshadowed" what he was trying to say.
