Matt Mackowiak Discusses Wendy Davis’ Campaign [Audio]

Monday on the Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak spoke about Wendy Davis' gubernatorial campaign.

Mackowiak talked about the effects of the revelation of false information about Wendy Davis' biography last week. He noted that while Abbott's team did nothing in response to the news, Davis' made it worse by not addressing it immediately and denying that she spoke falsely. He said, "There's a cloud that hangs over her because there is not a lot of clarity about what she did, when it happened, what her motives were, and, most importantly, what it says about her character." He suggested that Davis' votes will be "topped out" at 45 or 46 percent, as well as that her fundraising efforts will be negatively affected.
