It's October and that means it's ghost story time all the time but in my opinion no ghost stories compare to that of old Mexico. One story in particular is about my great grandfather and a giant supernatural creature that seems to have been more than meets the eye. With that story pinpointed on my own family there are plenty of stories from many Mexican families involving lechuzas. If you don't know what a lechuza is then you are missing out on the strange encounters that many people have had throughout the years in Texas and Mexico.

Darkness of Night and Last of the Lights

With the month of October comes the ghost stories but also Halloween and trick or treating. This year you could spice up your candy duties by giving out some Mexican candies, they do make non spicy candies, for some yummy flavors. This October did happen to have a Friday the 13th in it which means lots of ways to ward off any bad luck. If you don't have the slightest clue how to ward off bad luck then maybe try some these good luck charms. We will give a rest to things that go bump in the night and look to the light. The Last of the Lights is local Lubbock band with an EP set to release in November and their sound is sure to keep away any cucuys or lechuzas.

These 48 mugshots are of individuals arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center during the week of October 9 - October 15, 2023. The individuals charged should be presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. All arrestees featured below are those charged with a felony offense. A felony offense is classified by the severity of punishment, ranging from the low level state jail felony all the way to a capital felony. Also featured are any individuals who were held on a Fugitive Warrant or Detainer, a United States Marshall Remand, or Immigration Customs Enforcement Detainer.
