This weekend, LSO will hold it’s first major concert of the year: the “Greatness” concert. Saathoof explained that the show would feature pieces from Germany and Italy, with a German guest conductor at the baton as will. The show will also feature a special bass solo concerto, performed by Mark Mason. The show will be performed Friday, January 17th and Saturday, January 18th, at the Civic Center.

Also coming up this month, LSO will be hosting a Beatles tribute concert on January 31st and the City Bank Auditorium. Saathoff said that the show will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles coming to America, and that there will be classic cars on display outside the show as well as a costume contest.
