Lubbock Names Park Fit Park of the Month for September

Hub City citizens are urged to get outside and get active at an area park this month.

The City of Lubbock has designated Lopez Park as September’s park of the month in the Park Fit challenge.

Lopez Park is located at Chicago Street and Auburn Avenue, and offers amenities such as benches, a multi-use court, picnic area, playground, and a .44 mile walking track.

You can enter the City’s monthly prize drawing by taking your picture with the Park Fit sign located at the park and email to the Park Fit Coordinator. Send pictures to Aimee Ruel at aruel@mylubbock.us.
