Lubbock ISD to Host First-Ever Soccer Tournament

Lubbock ISD will host the very first of a series of soccer tournaments this week.

The United Kick-off Classic Invitational Soccer Tournament will be held on Thursday, January 17^th through Saturday, January 19^th.

Twenty boys and girls teams from West Texas, Houston, El Paso, Amarillo, and Midland/Odessa will compete.

The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday at all three tournament-play sites, which are Coronado High School at 3307 Vicksburg, Lubbock High School’s Chatman Field at 2301 Avenue W, and Monterey High School at 3211 47^th.

The championship games will be played on Saturday at Texas Tech’s John Walker Soccer Complex at 10^th Street and the Texas Tech Parkway.

The girls championship game begins at 2 p.m. and the boys championship game begins at 4 p.m.
