Lubbock ISD to Host First-Ever Soccer Tournament

Lubbock ISD will host the very first of a series of soccer tournaments this week.

The United Kick-off Classic Invitational Soccer Tournament will be held on Thursday, January 17th through Saturday, January 19th.

Twenty boys and girls teams from West Texas, Houston, El Paso, Amarillo, and Midland/Odessa will compete.

The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday at all three tournament-play sites, which are Coronado High School at 3307 Vicksburg, Lubbock High School’s Chatman Field at 2301 Avenue W, and Monterey High School at 3211 47th.

The championship games will be played on Saturday at Texas Tech’s John Walker Soccer Complex at 10th Street and the Texas Tech Parkway.

The girls championship game begins at 2 p.m. and the boys championship game begins at 4 p.m.
