Lubbock ISD to Hold 28th Annual String Fling

Lubbock ISD orchestra students will perform next week.

The students will play at the 28^th annual LISD String Fling, which will be held at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theater on Tuesday, January 29^th at 7 p.m.

Music played at the event will range from popular music of the past and present and classical pieces.

Sixteen separate groups will perform, and the evening will finish with Lubbock Symphony Orchestra Conductor David Cho directing the combined orchestra in “Orpheus in the Underworld” by Jacques Offenbach.

Tickets are $3 in advance from any LISD orchestra student, and $5 at the door.
