Lubbock ISD Teacher Kristen Campbell Named as Region 17 Secondary Teacher of the Year

A Lubbock ISD teacher has received a notable honor.

Hutchinson Middle School English teacher Kristen Campbell has been named as the Region 17 Secondary Teacher of the Year.

Campbell was named as the Lubbock ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year on May 2^nd, out of four secondary finalists.

She is now a candidate for the Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year Award.

Hutchinson Principal Heidi Dye said “Kristen’s compassion for her students is unwavering. The one thing that I admire most about her is that she holds the highest expectations for every student she serves, and she does everything in her power to help students become literate speakers, readers, and writers.”

In addition to teaching, Campbell is also a campus academic leader at Hutchinson.
