Lubbock High School has been named as one of the nation’s most challenging high schools.

Lubbock ISD was notified Wednesday morning that Lubbock High School has been chosen by the Washington Post as one of the most challenging high schools in the United States.

According to LISD, the school was chosen due to the significant number of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams administered there.

Students who pass AP or IB exams can earn college credit.

Lubbock High Principal Doug Young said “We are proud to have been chosen by the Washington Post for this prestigious award.”
