Lubbock City Council District 3 race gets new competitor

KFYO News

Another Lubbock resident is joining the field for the race for a seat on the City Council.

Deanne Clark will make her formal announcement tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 21) at City Hall.

Clark said in a brief email message to the media yesterday afternoon she’ll declare her candidacy for the District 3 seat tomorrow at 10am at Lubbock City Hall “with family and friends.”

The current Lubbock City District 3 Councilman, Todd Klein, is not seeking re-election in May. So far, Lubbock barber Maurice Stanley and small business owner Jeff Griffith have filed to run for the seat.

KFYO News will attend Clark’s  press conference on Friday morning and bring you a full report.
