Lubbock City Attorney Sam Medina has asked to be placed on voluntary paid leave from his position with the city.

The Lubbock City Council will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday to consider placing Medina on administrative leave.

Reportedly, no charges have been filed against Sam Medina as of yet, who has hired local defense attorney Rod Hobson.
