One Lubbock area bank is asking residents to vote for their favorite charities so they can give back just in time for the holiday season. Lubbock's City Bank is currently accepting votes from local residents through their Community Rewards program to help give back. City Bank is asking for residents to vote for their favorite charities and out of those charities 30 will be chosen.

Voting will begin on Monday, November 6, and last until December 1 but there are some guidelines. KAMC news reports that they will accept only one vote per email address an hour and voters do have meet the age requirement of at least being 18-years-old.

Any nonprofit can sign up to be entered to win and there is still some room for nonprofit organizations to signup and register to win the prizes. The top five nonprofit organizations will win some sort of monetary prize with fifth place receiving $500, fourth place $1,000, third $1,500, second $2,000 and grand prize will be $4,000. There will be six categories that nonprofits can sign up for which include

  • Basic Human Needs
  • Health and Wellness
  • Education and Youth Services
  • Animal Welfare and Environment
  • Youth Development and Advocacy
  • Community Contribution and Leadership

Registration for the nonprofits will close on Thursday, November 2, at 5 p.m., signing up can be done online here. City Banks Community Rewards has been helping nonprofits across the South Plains since 2008 helping over 150 charities.
