Local Author Kyle Word’s Novel ‘Blood Debt’ Set On the Llano Estacado [INTERVIEW]

Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, local author Kyle Word joined the show from the KFYO studio to talk about his new novel, "Blood Debt", which he describes as a Llano Estacado Crime  Novel. Word also shared information about his book signing event that will be held tomorrow at Smoker's Haven in Lubbock.

Describing his book, Word said,

It's the first in a collection of crime novels that I'm going to write, that are all featured in the Llano Estacado.

"I'm almost creating my own genre with this. There are no crime novels set in this part of the country," Word said, then continued by saying, "The [Llano Estacado] is so ripe for story-telling, there are so many stories. There are a million stories of the people and the situations and the territory, and I wanted to explain that to people in the form of fiction."

Word's "Blood Debt" book signing event takes place Saturday February 25, 2017, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 at Smoker's Haven located at 5102 60th St. N, which is just west of the main entrance to South Plains Mall. Blood Debt may also be purchased here.
