Several local and regional organizations are leading efforts to provide relief to the thousands of victims of Hurricane Harvey and the catastrophic flooding that has devastated the Texas coast.

    • Bone Daddy's House of Smoke -- Will donate 10 percent of all food sales on Labor Day (Sept. 4, 2017)
    • Lubbock's United Blood Services -- You can donate blood to help victims. They're open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, Noon - 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. They're located at 2523 48th St.
    • Blazing Steakhouse -- A goal of $5,000 has been set, and they will be accepting monetary donations from customers to reach it, as well as donating portions from their proceeds to Hurricane Harvey relief.
    • 4ORE Golf -- The newly opened golf facility in Lubbock will host a donation drive on Friday, Sept. 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 4ORE Golf is located at 6909 Marsha Sharp Freeway.
    • Malone Media Group is accepting your monetary donations Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. through Friday, September 8th. They've also set up an Amazon Wish List with important school supplies for children.
    • Mattress Firm -- In addition to monetary donations through its round-up program, Mattress Firm is accepting donations of the following unused items: New underwear (all sizes), new socks (all sizes), pants with elastic bands, non-perishable food items, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, baby diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, adult diapers, moving boxes, color books & crayons, dog food and power charges. Mattress Firm has two locations in Lubbock: 6707 Slide Rd. and 5607 Slide Rd.
    • Salvation Army -- Donate by Phone: 1-800-SAL-ARMY or donate online.
    • Vista College -- Taking donations of the following items: Basic medical supplies, diapers for babies and adults, wipes, formula, feminine Products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, clothing, blankets, towels, "ready to eat" food, bottled Water, dog/cat food, hand sanitizer, socks. Items can be dropped off at any of the following locations:

Another simple way to help is by texting 'harvey' to 90999. That will make a $10 donation to the American Red Cross.
