A sophomore women’s basketball player at Texas Tech will be leaving Lubbock.

Lady Raider forward Ebony Walker will transfer from Tech following the spring semester, the Texas Tech women’s basketball team announced Monday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2 Albuquerque, New Mexico native played the last two seasons in Lubbock, and is credited by the team with helping the Lady Raiders get off to a fast start this season.

Walker scored 28 points in a four-game stretch last November, and set a career high in points against Louisiana-Monroe on November 27th, running up 13 points in only 10 minutes.

She has played 202 minutes played in 36 games, hitting 36.3 percent from the field while scoring 70 points.

Texas Tech says that there will be no further comment on the situation, as per team policy.
