On the Thursday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Judge Ray Wheless, candidate for Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Place 2, joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about issues in the race.

Wheless and Hasty talked about his experience in life and law, discussed issues relating to the court, and why Wheless believe he should be elected.

When asked by Hasty why voters should concern themselves with who is on the Court of Criminal Appeals, Wheless replied, "Because it doesn't do the regular citizens any good, here in Lubbock or anywhere else in your listening area, to have good people in office, that is prosecutors, and sheriffs and law enforcement, arresting people that are guilty of crimes if the convictions don't hold up on appeal."

Wheless continued, saying,

The judges on this court determine, whether or not people that were rightfully convicted, remain convicted. But it also considers cases where people that were wrongfully convicted, have another shot to have another court take a look at it, just like the Tim Cole case here in Lubbock.
