Wednesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Representative elect Jodey Arrington joined the broadcast to discuss last night's election results and priorities moving forward on both the District 19 and national levels.

Arrington answered questions, shared his thoughts about Donald Trump's victory over Hilary Rodham Clinton, and talked about what he views to be priorities for the nation and the new president.

Arrington said,

It's a good day for West Texas. And I'm the most proud West Texan because I get to represent you Chad, and your family, and all your listeners.

About the Republican Party's wins, not solely of the White House, but also retaining control of the U.S. House of Representatives as well as the Senate, Arrington said,

We've got to not squander [this opportunity], but come and get a play book, and execute on that relentlessly. And do it in a way that also - let's not repeat the mistakes, let's learn from the mistakes even of President Obama. And let's do it, and espouse our principles in the most positive, hopeful way, because, after all ours are the ideals that created this republic in the first place. So we can do that, I think, and be less divisive.

Arrington and Hasty also discussed trade and agriculture, as well as whether or not Paul Ryan should remain as Speaker of the House.

Concluding the interview, Arrington said,

Let me just 'thank you' to your listeners again. I want them to know how honored I am, whether they supported me or not. I'm proud to represent them, and I'll do my very best to do it in a manner that will reflect well on them, and their families and our community.
