Insane Inflatable 5K Creator Stuart Kaul: We Came Up With the Idea at a Bar [Interview]

The Insane Inflatable 5K is coming to Lubbock March 14, 2015. Creator Stuart Kaul spoke with Chad Hasty about what to expect from the crazy event.

Kaul's vision for the Insane Inflatable 5K has an interesting origin story.

"We were at a hotel lobby bar and as the night went on and the beers kept flowing, we jotted down ideas for an event we wanted to start," Kaul said.

After landing on the idea of inflatables, Kaul and his friends doodled the basic concepts on bar napkins, scanned them and sent them off to a manufacturer.

The result? More than just a couple bounce houses. "We kind of went extreme," Kaul said.
