Idalou vs. Shallowater Is the High School Football Game of the Week [AUDIO]

On Thursday’s edition of Lubbock’s First News, Steven Orr from the “West Texas Friday Night Scoreboard” show talked with Chad Hasty and Rex Andrew about his picks for the big games in high school football this week.

There are plenty of great games to look forward to in the Lubbock area this week. Coronado will be going for their 1st district win as they take on Midland Lee. Lubbock High, on the other hand, will be looking for their first win of the season when they go up against Andrews. Also in the Lubbock area, Monterrey will be taking on Caprock and Estacado will have a tough battle ahead with undefeated Abilene. Other big games this week include Cooper vs. Hereford and Frenship vs. Palo Duro.

This week, the game of the week will be Idalou vs Shallowater. Last week, Shallowater had an excellent win against Dalhart. Idalou, on the other hand, has been playing storn all season. Orr said that this match-up has all the making to be a great high school football game.

If you can’t make it out to the Idalou game, you can listen to it live on 98.1 Kool FM. Also, be sure and tune in to NewsTalk 709 KFYO for the Estacado game, or SportsRadio 1340 the FAN to catch the Lubbock High game.
