Fuel prices for motorists in Lubbock and the Lone Star State remain high.

According to the weekly KFYO News Gas Price Survey, the average retail price of regular unleaded fuel in the Hub City is $3.35 per gallon, an increase of two cents from last week and the third straight week of price increases.

At this time last year, the average price at the pump in Lubbock was $3.27 a gallon and two years ago the average was $3.72.

AAA Texas reports statewide prices have increased again. The average price at the pump increased three cents on average to $3.41 per gallon. The city with the highest gas prices in the Lone Star State is Amarillo at $3.60 per gallon with drivers in Beaumont paying $3.31.

The national average for fuel prices increased a nickel to $3.60 per gallon.
