According to the KFYO News Gas Price Survey, the average price for regular unleaded gas in Lubbock is $3.48 per gallon down a penny from last week. That stops seven consecutive weeks of rising gas prices in Lubbock.

The price of gasoline eight weeks ago was under three dollars at $2.94 cents a gallon. The price for fuel this time last year was $3.44.

Texans also got a small reprieve from the rising gas prices this week. AAA Texas reports the average price for fuel dropped a penny from last week to $3.63 a gallon.

The national average sits higher than it does in the Hub City and Texas at $3.78 per gallon.
