Fire Damages Home West of Shallowater

Fire crews extinguished a blaze at a home west of Shallowater on Tuesday.

The home, located in the 9500 block of Farm-to-Market Road 1294, was putting out a sizable amount of smoke just before 3:45 p.m.

Shallowater, New Deal, and West Carlisle Fire Departments had put out the blaze just before 5 p.m., according to KAMC 28.

Nobody was inside the home at the time of the fire.

The Red Cross says that they were on the scene to help the now-displaced family of four.
