Fifteen students at Lone Star College Cy-Fair were injured after a fellow student stabbed them in a rampage on Tuesday.

The student has been described by other students as an “eccentric” person who often wore gloves and would carry stuffed animals around campus. His name has not yet been released.

The student reportedly went from building to building stabbing people with an X-ACTO knife. Twelve were taken to hospitals, and two with minor wounds refused treatment.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the spree ended when the suspected attacker’s blade broke.

The assailant was tackled by another student and was taken into custody.

Information from the Associated Press and the Houston Chronicle were used in this report.
