A number of Lubbock ISD swimmers and divers have been named to the all-state list.

Eleven LISD swimmers and divers have been named to the Texas Interscholastic Coaches Association All-State Honors for Swimming and Diving 2011-2012 group.

Swimmers named to the first team all-state are Madisyn Cox from Lubbock high School and Jaecey Parham from Monterey High School.

Other swimmers named to the second-team all-state include: Jaecey Parham for performance in the 100 Backstroke, Jason Hallier from Coronado High School, and Lindsay Lampkin, Madisyn Cox, Marissa Rosa, and Sandy de Haas, all members of Lubbock High School’s 200 Medley Relay Team.

Swimmers receiving honorable mention all-state accolades are Jason Hallier from Coronado for the 100 backstroke, and the Lubbock High 200 Free Relay Team, consisting of Lindsay Lampkin, Sandy de Haas, Christine Kobza, and Madisyn Cox.

Divers named to the second-team all-state list are Audrey Ruiz, Ty Sides, and Jordon Thomas. Diver Lauren Mills also received an all-state honorable mention. All of the divers are from Coronado High School.

“I think this is a real credit to the hard work these swimmers and drivers have done this year,” said David “Trey” Hayes, co-director of aquatics. “It’s a real feather in our cap to have this many all-state selections in a competitive state like Texas.”
