Dustin Burrows appeared on Thursday's edition of Pratt on Texas to discuss his nomination for the House District 83 race by Representatives of the Republican Party from the seven counties in the district.

The House District 83 seat was vacated by Representative Charles Perry who decided to run for State Senate District  23. Burrows was running for the Republican nomination for the race against Delwin Jones, John Key, Steve Massengale and Sondra Zigler, and also Allen Adkins who recently withdrew from the race.

Regarding his official nomination, Burrows said, "I am humbled by the opportunity to represent West Texas, to represent the Republican Party. . . I just look forward to getting the opportunity to go out and talk to the voters. . . and explain to them why I believe conservative ideas are going to work for West Texas' and Texas' problems."

Burrows also reiterated his experience in representing small businesses, specifically farmers, and his strong belief in lean priority rights. "I'm going to defend those property rights because I'm a conservative, and that's what conservatives do," Burrows said.
