Under a proposal from presidential hopeful Donald Trump, a six-week paid maternity leave would become a mandatory in the United States.

According to ABC News, Trump's paid maternity plan leave is just part of a broader policy proposal:

The core components of Trump’s proposal include allowing working parents to deduct child care expenses from their income taxes, creating dependent care savings accounts and guaranteeing six weeks of paid maternity leave.

Currently, federal law guarantees only 12 weeks of unpaid leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act for most employees.

Do you support the idea of mandatory paid maternity leave?
