Potential candidates for the March Primaries in Texas have until next Monday, December 19th to file for office.  The new deadline is due to a ruling from the federal court in San Antonio.

Earlier this afternoon, the Lubbock County Republican Party released their candidate filing list for races that occur exclusively in Lubbock County.

State Representative District 84 – John Frullo

County Commissioner Precinct 1 – Bill McCay

99th District Court Judge – William C. (Bill) Sowder

140th District Court Judge – Jim Bob Darnell

Sheriff – Kelly S. Rowe

Tax Assessor-Collector – Ronnie Keister

County Court at Law No. 1 – Unexpired Term – Douglas H. Freitag
County Court at Law No. 1 – Unexpired Term – Mark Hocker
County Court at Law No. 1 – Unexpired Term – Scott Morris
County Court at Law No. 1 – Unexpired Term – David Nelson

Constable Precinct 1 – Paul Hanna
Constable Precinct 1 – Jay A. McCormick

Constable Precinct 2 – Joe Pinson

Constable Precinct 4 – Carroll Allen Thomas

Republican Party County Chairman – Carl Tepper
