The job of the Vision and Steering Committee is to envision and determine where the City of Lubbock will be in the next 20 to 25 years. Seim said that right now, they are just focused on the vision, and that the committee is working towards an actual plan for the city’s future. Seim mentioned that a similar plan created a few years ago failed because no one took action after it was all planned out, and he does not intend to let that happen with this plan.
The committee will be holding a meeting on Monday, November 14th and the Lousie Hopkins Underwood Center starting at 4:30 PM. The public is encouraged to attend and share their input.
