On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, David Acuff joined Chad and Rex in studio to talk about the rifle marksmanship and history program "Project Appleseed."

Project Appleseed is the sole project of the Revolutionary War Veterans Association. Acuff said the project takes a week-long curse on rifles and condenses it into a 2-day workshop. Aspiring riflemen will learn things such as shooting positions, safety practices, and how to shoot straight. In between lessons, Project Appleseed teaches its participants about the history of riflemen throughout American history, staring with the famous midnight ride of Paul Revere.

The next Project Appleseed course will take place December 3rd through 4th. For more information on Project Appleseed or to sign up, contact David Acuff at 806-773-2250 or lubbockapplseed@yahoo.com. You can also visit their website at appleseedusa.org.
