Cornyn Says No Law Changes Needed For Firearm Purchases: Fix Background Check Systems [INTERVIEW]
Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) joined the show to talk about the recent furor over guns and violence, and President Trump's comments made during a round table meeting about the possibility of side-stepping courts and due process in confiscating firearms from people who may be mentally unstable.
While talking about recent murders and the failures of background check systems that should or could have prevented the acts, and the frenzied calls for new firearms laws and restrictions to be added to those already in place, Cornyn said,
I think we ought to fix our broken background check system which changes none of our current law.
