Congressman Randy Neugebauer Introduces the Crop Act of 2011

Congressman Randy Neugebauer says he is committed to ensuring farmers and ranchers have crop insurance options that work.  With that in mind, Neugebauer has introduced the Crop Risk Options Plan, or CROP Act for short.  In a news release, Neugebauer said the bill will give producers new options for federal crop insurance.

“I believe this bill would enhance the current crop insurance program for farmers as they face weather risks,” Neugebauer said.

Neugebauer said the proposal builds on a concept he introduced as part of the last farm bill.
