With the end of 2016 approaching quickly, the City of Lubbock will be closing down offices to celebrate. January 2nd, a Monday, offices will close to reopen on January 3rd.

There will be no dumpster trash collection on Monday. The normally scheduled cart and dumpster trash collection will be moved to Tuesday, January 3, and Tuesday's normally scheduled collection will take place on Wednesday, January 4. Residents with carts are asked to have them out before 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

 

The City of Lubbock Recycling Drop-Off Centers and Citizen Convenience Stations will also be closed on Monday. While drop-off gates will be locked, a roll-off dumpster will be placed outside the gates for Christmas tree recycling. Recycling centers/convenience stations will resume normal operations on Tuesday.

Other closures include, the West Texas Region Disposal Facility, the Caliche Canyon Landfill, the Buddy Holly Center, the Silent Wings Museum, the Garden and Arts Center, and all Lubbock Public Library locations will be closing their doors as well.
