Lubbock residents can turn their fresh-cut Christmas trees in for recycling.

The City of Lubbock’s Solid Waste Services department is offering the fresh-cut Christmas tree recycling at their four permanent drop-off locations.

A roll-off dumpster has been placed outside the gates for fresh-cut tree drop offs at these locations:

  • 208 Municipal Drive
  • 1631 84th Street
  • 7308 Milwaukee
  • 4307 Adrian Street

The landfill will mulch the fresh-cut trees.

Residents are asked to remove the metal stand, all plastic, and all decorations before placing the tree in the drop-off container.

After January 13th, 2014, the roll-offs will be located inside the gates of each location, and trees can be dropped off from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
