With only a few days left in the 84th Texas Legislature, Chuck DeVore joined The Chad Hasty Show to talk about the final rush to attempt completion of the passage of bills that are still in the legislative process.

Devore and Hasty discussed the final procedures in working toward passing of a bill with it's changes, and the many different steps needed to finalize passage. DeVore also explained the political phases in the processes and reasons for slowing down finalization and passage.

Devore also talked about school choice, the budget and tax reductions. About the budget that has been passed DeVore said,

The other thing it does Chad, is it keeps government in check for future years, so that we taxpayers don't have to worry as much about big tax increases to pay for bigger government.

DeVore continued,

Huge kudos all around to Lieutenant Governor Patrick, the leadership of the House, to Governor Abbott for kind of helping with this discipline, it's really unprecedented and remarkable and we congratulate the legislature for this restraint.
