On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, District 19 congressional candidate Chris Winn came by to talk with Chad and Rex about his run for Congress.

When asked about his decision to run, Winn said that his campaign is not a personal attack on the incumbent Randy Neugebauer, but that people want to have a choice in who they choose as their representative.

"To ignore the focus on our national congressional leadership and not have a choice at that level...would be irresponsible."

Winn said that people have a "throw them all out," us vs. them mentality when it comes to politicians and that there is a severe lack of trust between people and politicians. He said he would be in favor of getting rid of all the current politicians who were "bad or misguided," including the Republicans, and starting over with a fresh slate.

Winn also answered several listeners' questions concerning his opponent Randy Neugebauer, tax reform and illegal immigration.
