Chad Hasty Show Afternoon Update: The Redskins Name Really Doesn’t Offend Many People, John Steinmetz Could Challenge Randy Neugebauer, and More [AUDIO]

Ariel Walden, KFYO.com

It’s been a pretty interesting day so far in Lubbock and throughout the country. Today on the podcast I continue to share my thoughts on the Redskins name. I continue to believe that 90% of the people who are offended by the name are beaten down white people who are ashamed to be white. They are the same people who don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. In fact, 90% of Native Americans don’t find Redskins offensive.

I also discuss a local story about a former Lubbock County Republican Chairman who could run against Congressman Randy Neugebauer. No, not Chris Winn. John Steinmetz is reportedly thinking about running. Could he beat Neugebauer? Sure, but it won’t be easy. It’s going to take a lot of money and a great campaign. A much better campaign than the one Chris Winn ran. John is a good guy and can certainly bring some fire to the race, but can he convince people that Neugebauer’s time is up? Of course, that’s if he runs.
