Tuesday on KFYO's The Chad Hasty Show, Chad continued the discussion of Angela Davis' upcoming paid appearance at Texas Tech University, and the UC Berkeley BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) anti-Israel protest's tie-in to Texas Tech.

Davis has been a hot topic on The Chad Hasty Show recently, attracting attention after scheduling an appearance at Texas Tech University (for $12,000) during a series of African American History Month Lectures.

Some listeners have called in to the show to voice their disgust with her appearance in Lubbock, while others have said they will cease donating to the Texas Tech due to the choice to have Davis speak.

Hasty pointed to a similar story out of California where Jewish students at UC Santa Cruz are up in arms over an upcoming talk by Davis. The activist has publicly called for a boycott of Israel. She is receiving $15,000 for that speech.

Other local news outlets have been picking up the story as well, describing it as "grinding gears on local talk radio" after Hasty's opinion piece about the school's decision to bring Davis to Lubbock.
