CEDAR PARK, Texas (AP) — Police in the Austin suburb of Cedar Park say four people have been killed in a single-vehicle wreck.

Police say the four were passengers in a vehicle that ran off U.S. Highway 183 about 4 a.m. Sunday and hit a utility police. They were dead at the scene.

The driver has survived and is hospitalized in nearby Round Rock. His injuries are said to be not life-threatening.

Names of the victims haven't been released pending notification of relatives and circumstances of the crash haven't been immediately determined.

Authorities say the downed utility pole knocked out power to some residents nearby. Pedernales Electric Cooperative crews have been working to restore the power.

Cedar Park is about 20 miles north of Austin.
