The movement known as the Tea Party is getting blamed for the downgrade from Standard and Poors by most media and the political left, but blame should be posed elsewhere.
When asked if the Secretary of the Treasury should resign, Neugebauer said "If it would bring some stability to the market, maybe he should resign."

Rep. Mac Thornberry, a Republican whose district borders Randy Neugebauer's district, voted for the debt ceiling legislation.
"I want to see the details," Neugebauer told KFYO regarding the debt ceiling agreement. "I want to see how strong this language is and whether I think it moves us in the right direction."
