On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, councilman Paul Beane was asked about the possibility of the city and county joining forces to provide health services.

Question?  Do you see a partnership going forward?

Beane: “ Not much of one.  We’re lucky to get money out of the county to pay for the mosquito spray that we do out in the county.

Beane also said the Health Department building at 19th and Texas Avenue is living on borrowed time, but there is another possibility.
