Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, James Arnold, President of Lubbock's American Bank of Commerce joined the show to talk about the health of the Lubbock and South Plains economies.

Arnold and Hasty discussed local hotels and restaurants, agriculture and the need for a farm bill, as well as the huge impact that online shopping is having on local retail economies, especially in the smaller communities.

When asked by Hasty about the state of the local economy overall, Arnold replied,

You know Chad, it's probably looks as good as it has maybe in a long, long time. Our economy is growing. We track an economic index for Lubbock, and it's at it's highest point than it's been since we started tracking this back in the early '90s.
