Gas prices across the state continue to decrease according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch Report.

The statewide average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline is currently $3.37, four cents less than the average of last week. That's also 15 cents less than the current national average of $3.52.

Those in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are paying $3.36 for their gas, while those in El Paso are seeing a 9 cent increase to $3.45. Drivers in Houston are seeing a price of $3.38, and San Antonio drivers are paying around $3.35 for a gallon of gas.

According to the Energy Information Administration and AAA Texas, Americans are paying the lowest gas prices since mid-March of this year and U.S. refineries are nearing their highest production rates since 2005, all despite continuing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
