After committing on February 26th, Khavon Moore has now signed his National Letter of Intent to come and play basketball for Texas Tech and Chris Beard. The four star prospect is the highest rated recruit to ever come to Texas Tech as a basketball player and will likely factor in immediately in the 2018-19 season.

The Georgia native spoke to Cam Gaskins of WGXA and talked about his decision to choose Texas Tech. "I'm going to show everybody what I can do." Moore Said.

Moore is an ESPN Top 100 player who chose Texas Tech over hometown school Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida and many others.

In four years of varsity play, Moore averaged 19.8 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game. He averaged a double double in his sophomore and junior seasons. In 102 career games, Moore had more than 2,000 points and nearly 1,000 rebounds. He's also tallied more than 400 assists.

Khavon Moore will join new faces in the recruiting class that currently sits 5th in the Big 12 and is still adding grad transfers, like Tariq Owens a 6'11" rim protector from St. John's. If Beard has his way, Owens won't be the last grad transfer that is playing for Texas Tech next season.

Coach Beard isn't finished adding freshman talent from the high school level either.

With Khavon Moore and all of these players joining forces with the talent remaining from the Elite-8 team from last season, Texas Tech is in a great position to have even more success in 2019.
