$3 Million in VA Grants Have Been Approved, A Portion Earmarked for Lubbock
$3 million in grants have been approved by the Texas Veterans Commission.
The grants will benefit 25 groups that help military veterans and their families.
$200,000 has been earmarked for the Lubbock Regional Mental Health Center.
Another $100,000 is going to the Mental Health Center in Dallas and the Salvation Army in Waco will receive $50,000.
Other agencies serving Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, Bastrop, Burnet and Bell counties will receive $300,000.
The grants are being funded by a $2 scratch off ticket Texas Lottery game.
