US Marshals Found Bart Reagor in Attempt to Collect Ford Debt

On Thursday, November 19th, US Marshals found Bart Reagor, formerly of the Reagor-Dykes Auto Group, and served him with a writ of execution.

A writ of execution is defined by Investopedia as a court order that puts in force a judgement of possession and directs law enforcement personnel to begin the transfer of property as the result of a legal judgement.

Ford Motor Company is said to have requested the writ to recover a $49.2 million judgement against Reagor.

KAMC News reports that the writ would have allowed marshals to confiscate assets from Reagor, but the writ was returned the next day as "nulla bona," a Latin legal term meaning US Marshals took nothing from Reagor.

The US Marshal Service attempted to locate Reagor at his home on Thursday at around 1 p.m. but there was no answer. They tried again a bit after 4 p.m. and again there was no answer.

He was found around 5 p.m. at the CVS Pharmacy at 3402 50th Street.

Ford will be asked to pay $202 for the writ.

Back on August 1st, 2018, Reagor-Dykes filed for bankruptcy after they were accused of fraud and default. As of November 20th, the bankruptcy case remains pending.

Multiple former Reagor-Dykes employees have pleaded guilty to their involvement in a much bigger fraud scheme.
