The United Family has announced a donation to a local high school program.

On Friday, May 23rd, United announced an official donation of $38,000 dollars to Project Graduation, a high school program that provides students with safe and substance-free graduation parties.

The program aims to reduce the number of youth involved in alcohol and other drug related highway accidents through coordinating adult-advised and alcohol-free celebrations for students.

The contribution will support the program’s seven high school celebrations in Lubbock and eight in surrounding areas such as Lamesa, Brownfield, and Post.

Lubbock schools benefiting from the donation include Monterey High School, Estacado High School, Lubbock High School, Coronado High School, Frenship High School, Cooper High School and Roosevelt High School.
