Two-Vehicle Crash in Northwest Lubbock Lands an Elderly Man in the Hospital
A two-vehicle crash in northwest Lubbock has Lubbock Police investigating.
Sunday morning (Feb. 18), just after 4 a.m., officers responded to a reported traffic collision between a Jeep Patriot and a Toyota Camry near 4th Street and Toledo Avenue. The Jeep is believed to have been traveling north on Toledo when it crashed into the back of a Toyota Camry also traveling north.
The crash sent a 66-year-old male, the driver of the Camry, to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, 20-year-old Evan Simmons, was arrested and charged with intoxication assault. Simmons posted bond on Monday and was released.
