Gunfire erupted at an East Lubbock restaurant on Tuesday, September 21st, after an employee refused to give out free food.

The Lubbock Police Department responded to multiple shots fired in the 500 block of East 23rd Street. Reports say an altercation took place between a restaurant employee and four customers. It's said the four suspects entered the business, asked the employee for free food, and were denied.

An argument ensued when the employee told the suspects that they needed to pay for food. After telling the suspects they needed to leave the restaurant, the altercation ended up in the restaurant parking lot.

Two of the four suspects pulled guns and tried to intimidate the employee, even firing shots at them. Police were called, and the suspects fled the scene. Upon arrival, officers found bullet casings and the employee mentioned that he knew two of the suspects. It wasn't stated which suspects they knew.

As of this time, none of the suspects have been found and no injuries were reported.

This comes a week after a different shooting at the Long John Silver's restaurant on 50th Street.
