Two Men Arrested For Multiple Burglaries in Lubbock
Two men have been arrested for their involvement in multiple burglaries in Lubbock. According to police, two men from Fresno, Texas, now face charges after they were caught with stolen items.
Officers received a call at about 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, April 1, 2020, from a woman who said that someone had broken into her home and stolen a TV and a PlayStation. When police arrived in the 4700 block of 4th Street, they spotted two suspicious men walking outside.
When they saw the police, the two men tried to run away, but were quickly apprehended. They’ve been identified as 22-year-old Tarek Sonnier and 20-year-old Avonte Porter.
Police found several stolen items inside Sonnier’s vehicle, including the stolen television and Playstation. Sonnier and Porter both face four charges of burglary and are currently being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center.
